heya ppl,

i have set smultron as my default editor for htaccess via the finder/mac os.
Using forklift i am now able to open htaccess files via doubleblick.
BUT this wont work with remote locations eg ftp. when i doubleclick a htaccess file at a remote location, forklift uses still textedit instead of smultron. this is very annoying. is there way around this?

Preferences > Editing: Here you can set the default editor by extension.
Don't forget to check the "Open remote files for editing" under Preferences > General so that double clicking will open the files in editing mode.
I hope this helps.

i'm not on my machine right now...but i guess this does not work for files without extension (e.g. README files)
any way of assigning an editor for those kind of files?
