Hi,
Is there a way to searh files in ForkLift withou using spotlight?

The problem is that indexing a external hard drive takes too much time and if the hd is always changing its structure the reindexing becames useless.

In finder i can search for files without spotlight, but i don't know how to do this in ForkLift.

Hi David,

For the moment, only Spotlight search is available in ForkLift, though an internal search module is planned on the mid-term.

a fast and configurable search interface is key for a good file manager.
* search for files using simple wildcards or regular expressions
* add time requirements (last x minutes/hours/days)
* search text in files

anyway, something that is so good in tc you cannot afford to miss it:
"feed to listbox" - the ability to logically group all search results in a "directory" (e.g. usefull when you want to delete all *.cvs files etc.)
