I'm moving from YummyFTP to ForkLift and one feature I would like to see is a bookmark system, that opens both local and remote with a single click. I've got favorites grouped (local/remote), but I have to click on one, then the other window, then the other link.

It would be nice to single click one "bookmark" and have both windows open, remote on one side and local on the other.

If this is possible now, I haven't been able to figure it out.

Edit:Forklift 1.5.1, Leopard, 10.5.2

Harringg,

You will have this feature in the next release.

Once again the solution to this would be the implementation of saveable "pane sets" - which I called "views" in
http://forum.binarynights.com/showpost.php?p=32&postcount=3

which also save a pane“s tabs.

There really is no alternative - it just solves so many problems at once an enables users to use ForkLift ANY way they like. No matter if you like it simplistic or with a dozend pane-sets and tabs - this is the way.

About the Bookmark, I want to say that I really hope that there will be a bookmark manager, which enable us to import/export bookmarks.
Besides, a FTP site can't be added as a favorite unless it is connected in Forklift 1.5.1. For those FTP sites which don't open 24h, or only open in certain days, it is really a bad thing: I have to wait until when these sites open, and then add them to favorite list. So, a bookmark manager will solve these all, I think.
Thanks for your great works!

one more thing regarding the bookmarks: they come in quite handy but a little akward to use with keyboard only. is there a way to jump to the bookmarks pane and then navigate to the corresponding bookmark?
e.g. like ctrl+D...X for desktop, ctrl+D...Y for documents etc.
