Terminal/Logging Panel

I think it will be very useful if there is a Terminal panel
at the position of the current Info panel ;)

For local files it can be used as a Terminal, and for FTP connections it can be used for displaying the log information.

Before that I would appreciate a context menu entry like "Open in Terminal" near to "Reveal in Finder" which opens the currently open folder right in the terminal.
Possibly this can also be done via Apple Script. Maybe some other user knows how?

I think you're talking about two fairly different things. I for one am a big fan of the log-window idea. I like to make sure my Text Wrangler edits got committed to the server.

Also useful if a transfer stops before finishing- especially in the case of multiple files.

Yes, I also once requested this feature (before forums were created). I have used it a lot in Krusader
