Display Image EXIF/IPTC Data

Any chance you may be able to implement displaying of EXIF and IPTC data for image files in a later release?

Absolute definite yes. This is an excellent suggestion, and we did feel the need to enhance the use of the preview/info panel.
I put this request on our endless ToDo list.
